When Sister Legear prayed there were results. (Sister Legear and Sister Clara Yohn joined the church in April 1943, so this incident took place after this.) Sanford got up one morning. He hollered so loudly, that you could’ve heard him for half a block or more. There was a knot about the size of a hen egg that came out of his shoulder and went up his neck. The pain was terrible. They went and got Sister Legear to come and pray for him. He got better. To find out what it was, they took him to the doctor the next morning in Vernon. But the doctor didn’t know what it had been. Sister Legear surely knew how to reach the Lord!
